Ingredients
12 large white mushrooms, stems removed
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated #Parmesan#cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp fresh thyme (optional)
Salt & pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Prepare the mushrooms: Remove the stems from the mushrooms and chop them finely. Set the mushroom caps aside.
Make the filling: In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, melted butter, garlic, parsley, and chopped mushroom stems. Season with salt and pepper.
Stuff the mushrooms: Spoon the filling into each mushroom cap, pressing gently to pack it in.
Bake: Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with extra parsley, if desired. Serve warm.
